Officer – General Department (Motor & General Lines) - Dubai Branch
The General Department officer is responsible for evaluating general lines insurance proposals (property, liability, marine, and other commercial lines) and motor insurance risks, determining appropriate terms, coverage, and premiums. Based at the Dubai branch, the role provides fast, reliable underwriting turnaround on quotations and policy servicing to support the sales team’s business development and client acquisition efforts, while coordinating with insurers and clients to ensure accurate risk assessment, competitive placement, and timely policy issuance, renewals, and endorsements

Key Responsibilities
Assess general lines insurance proposals (property, liability, marine, engineering, and other commercial lines) by analyzing risk exposure, claims history, and supporting documentation to determine suitable terms and premiums.
Underwrite motor insurance queries and proposals, evaluating vehicle and driver risk factors to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
Deliver fast, accurate underwriting turnaround on quotations and policy issuance to support the Dubai sales team in business development and new client acquisition.
Initiate requests for quotations (RFQs) to eligible insurers and follow up diligently to ensure prompt receipt of competitive terms.
Process policy issuance, renewals, and endorsements for motor and general lines, coordinating with insurers and clients on approvals and payments.
Maintain accurate underwriting records and assist with renewal documentation, endorsement requests, and client correspondence.
Build and maintain working relationships with insurers to support competitive placements across motor and general lines.
Manage a high volume of client and prospect inquiries, delivering excellent customer service across motor and general lines coverage needs.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration, or Insurance
1–2 years of experience preferably in motor and general lines underwriting or insurance brokerage UAE experience preferred
Willing to work full-time from the office in Dubai
Immediate availability is mandatory
